Forex Trading System with the ADX Indicator

How Do You Build The ADX Indicator In Your Forex Trading System?

This is a great video demonstrating how to use the Average Directional Index or ADX indicator as part of your Forex trading system.

Many will have heard of this indicator but how do you use it to make good trading decisions and add it to your trading system? As you will see the indicator gives results using 3 lines. The direction line for the strength of an upwards moving trend, a line indicating the strength of a downwards trend and the relative strength of the overall trend.

The video below will show how to use this indicator to identify entry and exit points.

Hope you enjoy the video.

Good trading. To Your Success.

Can the red and green lines in the ADX indicator have their values changed so the lines won’t be so choppy?

    Thanx,

    Hi Stew

Thanks for your comment. Yes you can fine tune the settings on the ADX indicator – both the index and smoothing periods. There will ofcourse be differences depending on which chart software you use but I would recommend spending some time back testing some settings so you get it right as it can work pretty well.

Hope that helps – let me know how you get on!

    Good trading.
